Description
We eat the flesh, which is divided into light yellow segments, each hiding a large seed. Its consistency is slightly gummy and it becomes slimy at high maturity. The shape of the segments is slightly triangular and wrinkled on the surface. The aroma of this fruit is very delicate, as is the taste, which is sweetish and refreshing, similar to bananas and nectarines and remotely reminiscent of Pedro chewing gum. As the shelf life of the jackfruit is very limited, it is a good idea to keep it refrigerated.
